My finely tuned machine was as tuned as I expected when I found I couldn't shift from my little ring to the big ring without getting off the bike and using the old finger shifter. After climbing beach hill at yesterday's Wildflower long course I decided to see if I could big ring it thru the entire bike. There were times I thought I was really doing some damage to myself, but I managed to finish and hobble thru the run. Next time given a choice I think I stick with the little ring.
